TECHNICAL SCALE MAINTENANCE

This is a comprehensive set of actions aimed at keeping your scales fully operational. It includes a general inspection of the equipment, fault detection, and timely troubleshooting. Crucially, 90% of accurate scale operation depends entirely on the foundation. Therefore, it is essential to monitor the structural integrity of the foundation, ensure it remains free of foreign objects, and promptly clear away dirt, debris, and snow accumulation during the winter period.

DIAGNOSTICS AND REPLACEMENT OF COMPONENTS

SCALE CALIBRATION
This is the process of determining the actual weighing error by comparing the scale readings with reference weights, without issuing a formal decision on their compliance for commercial use. Following calibration, the scales are considered operational and can be used for the internal needs of the enterprise; however, they cannot, under any circumstances, be utilized for commercial trade transactions.

CONFORMITY ASSESSMENT
This is an official procedure confirming that truck scales comply with the requirements of the technical regulations for legally regulated measuring instruments. It is conducted prior to putting the scales into operation and grants the legal right to utilize them within the scope of state metrological control.

PERIODIC SCALE VERIFICATION
This is a mandatory, regular annual inspection of scales already in operation to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Law of Ukraine "On Metrology and Metrological Activity." It officially confirms that the scales maintain an acceptable margin of error and can continue to be legally used for commercial trade and settlements.

SCALE CALIBRATION (GRADUATION)

REMOTE REPEATER DISPLAY
The remote repeater display is designed to mirror the vehicle weight readings transmitted directly from the scale indicator. It provides a clear, convenient view of the weighing results for both drivers and operators right on the site.
Installed at an optimal height and distance from the platform, it allows drivers to easily monitor the process straight from the vehicle cabin without needing to step outside. High-brightness LED characters guarantee excellent visibility at any time of day and in all weather conditions.

DUSTPROOF BOOT (DUST SHIELD)
This component is designed to protect the steel load-bearing ball of the load cell from dust, dirt, and fine particles. It prevents the support assembly from clogging, directly helping to maintain consistent weighing accuracy.
Constructed as a corrugated rubber cylinder, it does not restrict the operational movement of the load cell while significantly extending its overall service life.
The use of a dustproof boot is highly critical for truck scales operated in open-air environments, agricultural and grain facilities, quarries, and industrial sites with high levels of dust and airborne debris.

RUBBER T-PROFILE (MOLDING STRIP)
The T-profile is designed to tightly seal the gap between the weighbridge platform and the foundation of truck scales. It effectively prevents debris, stones, soil, and other foreign objects from falling into the under-scale pit.
During the winter period, the molding strip stops snow accumulation and ice build-up in the clearance zone, which could otherwise create structural resistance and negatively impact weighing accuracy.
Manufactured from wear-resistant, high-elasticity rubber, the T-profile easily accommodates the structural thermal expansion of the metal components without restricting the natural movement of the platform during weighing operations.
Utilizing a rubber T-profile is a simple yet highly effective solution to preserve measurement accuracy, reduce the need for manual cleaning, and extend the overall lifespan of your weighing equipment.

    Daily or weekly — you can perform an independent inspection: checking the external condition, platform cleanliness, and cable integrity. This takes little time but helps prevent problems.

    Every six months — with high work intensity, it is advisable to involve specialists for a technical inspection. This ensures stable accuracy, extends the lifespan of the scales, and minimizes the risk of costly breakdowns.

  • Annual verification confirms that the scales maintain the required accuracy and comply with legal requirements.

    For commercial operations, this is a mandatory procedure in accordance with the Law of Ukraine "On Metrology and Metrological Activity" and established verification intervals. After the verification is performed, the enterprise receives official confirmation — a certificate or a stamp in the equipment logbook verifying the suitability of the measuring instrument. This guarantees the legality of settlements, helps avoid fines, and ensures accurate cargo accounting.

  • Typically, we budget approximately three hours for technical maintenance and the annual periodic verification, during which the scales are temporarily taken out of service. The exact duration depends on the condition of the equipment: whether components need to be replaced, platform edges realigned, or calibration and additional adjustments performed. If the scales are in good condition and require no additional work, the procedures can be completed faster.

  • Yes, we provide a warranty on all work performed. Upon completion of diagnostics and the full scope of services, the engineer issues an Act listing the completed work and installed components, which establishes the warranty period. Typically, the warranty for labor is 3 months, while the warranty for components ranges from 1 to 5 years, depending on the manufacturer and specifications. The warranty covers the resolution of any defects at no additional cost and guarantees the stable and reliable operation of your scales.

  • The duration depends on the type of work and the season. Mandatory annual procedures, including periodic verification, should be booked well in advance—during peak periods, high demand leads to booking queues. Timely planning ensures you can be confident in your equipment's performance, avoid operational downtime, and save yourself the time and stress of resolving issues urgently.

    Regarding unscheduled repairs or unexpected scale failures, an individual emergency service call-out can be arranged by prior agreement between the parties.
